I was initially impressed when Inspire accommodated our photoshoot at very late notice. I was further impressed at the warm welcome we recieved and then when some of the family were going to be late, Inspire once again accommodated us, allowing the photo shoot to start at a later time. The photographer made us feel so relaxed and had a fantastic sense of humour which resulted in some excellent 'natural' photo's. I have taken my daughter to 3 photo shoots through Groupon and this experience was by far the most enjoyable with superb results. We split the cost between us and bought the dvd. The only downside is that it is a wee bit pricey, unfortunate for those on a low income but well worth saving up for!! Would highly recommend! (5/5)
I went to Inspire studios for a boudoir photoshoot with a special offer from the Corsets-UK website. The experience was really fun and staff were friendly and professional. I went to see the photos just a few days later and they were gorgeous, and I'll give all credit to the photographer for that ! I could not afford to buy the photos on CD except for the one that was included in the offer. That said, I think the prices are normal prices for a professional photo session. And I was very, very pleased with the photo I got and with the experience on the whole. (4/5)
My stepdaughter and I had a makeover on 9th June. We purchased all the photos on CD and were pleased with the results. However, we were also to get 2 free photos and told they were being despatched on 27th July. Emailed Inspire and they said they would check with their Despatch people. Still no further forward as no answer to my email and a few more days have passed. Almost 2 weeks now since they were due to despatch. Can anyone at Inspire sort this out please??? (3/5)
I had a very bad experience with a photography studio in Glasgow who took my money, never sent the photos and then went bust. I contacted Gary of Inspire Studios, who, in an amazing turn of events, offered me a makeover, photo session and the photographs I had lost, completely free of charge. I was astonished that anyone would be so sympathetic and generous in this day and age, but he assured me that he wanted to prove that not all studios were greedy and disreputable and had given the profession a bad name. My husband thought that I would be asked to buy more expensive pictures,so it was with some trepidation that I arrived on the day of my makeover! However, I needn't have worried. I was greeted by the lovely young lady who brought me tea (I was driving!) and chatted about my hair and make-up. Once done, I was delighted with the results. Then Ray, the photographer, who was kindness and charm all in one package, started the photo-shoot. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and assured me that the photos would be great, even though I insisted that I wasn't in the least photogenic! After the shoot, I was asked to come back the following week to view the photographs. These were shown as a slideshow on a large screen TV with musical accompaniment, which was just brilliant! With Ray's help and guidance, I was able to whittle the photos down to the ones I liked the best. Actually they were all excellent...even I looked glamorous...Ray really IS a good photographer! The scenario my husband had predicted did NOT occur...I was told that the photographs I had chosen would be free of charge as promised and that I was under no obligation whatsoever to purchase any others. I will have to wait 4-8 weeks for the photographs, and I will be sure to comment here when I get them. I cannot thank Gary and his staff enough for their kindness and professionalism and for restoring my faith in humanity. I have worked in the Customer Service industry all my working life, and I know that rarely will you find the generosity and consideration I received from Gary, the owner of Inspire Studios. I hope your business goes from strength to strength and I will most certainly be recommending it to everyone I know. (4/5)
I used a groupon voucher. Plus points, I got an appt at short notice and make up artist was good. Bad points, too many to mention. Warehouse was cold making shoot uncomfortable in boudoir style. Gentleman trying to sell packages was rude; desperate for a sale and pushy. I neatly walked out as upset then the boss was arrogant saying he was going to have a photography empire.... I had to chase and chase for receipt of my photos and when I finally got them (3 months later, they were the wrong pictures). I spent a lot of money and was disaapointed in the poor quality pics but it was the attitude of the sales staff and manager that was disgusting. Seriously people, save your money and book elsewhere. I wish I had. (1/5)
I had a horrendous experience with a photography studio in Glasgow (New ID Studios) who let me down dreadfully and I knew I had lost all the money I had spent on my photographs when that company went bust.THEN....in stepped Gary of Inspire Studios, who not only offered me a free makeover and photography session in one of his studios, but promised me the photographs free of charge. I couldn't believe it at first that anyone would be so kindhearted in this day and age, but he was sorry for the way I had been treated by the other company and wanted to prove that not all studios were tarred with the same brush. So it was with some trepidation that I arrived for my makeover! I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The stylist, a delightful young Polish girl,(whose name sadly escapes me at the moment)did my makeup and hair, which were lovely and then the photographer,Ray, who was kindness and charm rolled into one, did his utmost to make me feel comfortable and less self-conscious! No mean feat! When it was over, I was asked to return the following week to view the photographs. These were displayed as a slideshow on a large TV scree, with musical accompaniment which was brilliant! I was able to chose the photographs I liked, in both black and white and colour. Ray was on hand to help me with my choice. This done, it was reinforced that my photographs were free of charge and would be ready in 4-8 weeks. At no time was I given a hard sell to purchase more photographs or canvasses, just what I had been promised. I am looking forward to getting my photographs, (which were stunning - Ray is an excellent photographer- he actually made me look glamorous!!)and I cannot heap enough praise on Gary and his staff. I have worked in the Customer Service Industry all my working life and believe praise should be given where it is due....this was all above and beyond anything I have experienced before and I can't begin to thank Gary for restoring my faith in humanity and proving that not everyone is selfish and moneygrabbing! I hope your business goes from strength to strength...I will certainly be recommending you to everyone I know! (4/5)
Like one of the reviewers above i also bought a Groupon the shoot wasnt anywhere near 3 hours, the results werent that good considering how ive seen better results else where the make up and hair was rushed as they had over booked big style however the biggest killer for me was the price they asked it was £95 for one yes ONE picture and up to £400 for your entire shoot on disk. Im sorry but if you have the spare hundreds lying around to pay for the pictures afterwards use that to go to a better photographer. Not happy. (1/5)
Myself, my partner and our one year old son when for the family photoshoot with the groupon deal. The photographer was great with our soon and had him playing around and hardly noticing the camera in no time. When we went to view our photos we were very happy with the quaility and how well they had came out. Can not wait to recieve our photo's now to show them to all our family and friends. Thanks to all the friendly staff and I would be pleased to recommend Inspire to others. (5/5)
Overwhelmingly disappointed in Inspire from start to finish. Very hard to book the photoshoot, when we did finally get to the session the photographer had no original ideas and seemed to be looking to us for guidance. We had booked this for my parents as the grandchildren were all together from overseas. They desperately wanted the decidedly average photos taken as it was such a rare opportunity, so they were purchased for an extortionate fee. We were told the photos and disc would be ready in 6-8 weeks but 11 weeks later we are still waiting and no one is capable of giving us an answer as to why. I have never encountered such terrible service anywhere. (1/5)
I purchased the Groupon deal, which entitled a 3 hour Boudoir shoot and 1 free image, with extra images available to purchase if required. I took my friend with me, so the day was a fun experience. And it certainly was! We arrived just before our time, and drank (way more!) than the advertised 'glass' of Bucks Fizz. Ray, the photograher, and Sophia, the make-up artist welcomed us straight away and were really friendly. We were all chatting like old friends within minutes! They both 'got' my look immediately - which I was amazed at! I didn't have to direct either of them at all - I left myself in their (more than) capable hands and looked exactly the way I wanted to! I was worried it may have been a bit 'sleazy', but it was far from that - It was a really great laugh and I felt utterly relaxed - which is so important to get the right shots.Ray didn't rush the shoot at all - it was all taken at the perfect pace. I am amazed to ready negative comments about this place.... I can only say that if you are unaware of just what a talent it takes to be a good photographer, and make-up artist, how much time and effort goes in to getting the right shot, then just ask a mate to take a few snaps... Don't waste professionals time. If you are 'appalled' at the cost to purchase extra images, then you clearly don't have an understanding of the profession. Also, although this may be bought using a voucher, this is a BUSINESS... I'm quite sure Inspire would be out of business pretty quickly if they only ever gave away deals!! I went back with my husband for the viewing of the photos about a week later.... and I was AMAZED! Ray is a truly talented photographer! It was so difficult to choose a selection.... I wanted them all!! I know I've never looked as good... And my hubbie was DELIGHTED with his gift! I'm really looking forward to receiving them (Inspire have said to allow up to 8 weeks) Another word.... if you are feeling fat, have just had a baby, haven't been well, or any other of life's little worries has been affecting you and your confidence.... do this! It is SUCH an ego boost! Highly, highly recommended (4/5)
We purchased a photo shoot and make up deal on Groupon. The price included one photo is various formats. The shoot was fine but nowhere near the 3 hours advertised. The results were fairly average but what was amazing was the price they wanted for additional photos. When we said we didn't want more we were treated very poorly. We would not recommend or at least ask how much the packaged of photos will cost on top of the basic package. (1/5)
My sister booked this as a surprise to get our make-up and hair done with a free photo to boot. We were a bit nervous about posing for the camera but the staff were very friendly and made us feel relaxed and right at home. We were greeted with a glass of bucks fizz and once the makeover was complete we both looked ultra glam. As we both had no previous modelling experience (unfortunately), we were a bit stiff but the photographer was great and managed to coax some good poses out of us. Overall this was a very enjoyable day and the staff definitely made it for us. We had good fun and more importantly ended up with some fab pics from the day. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone and felt it was great value for money. (5/5)
